Notes: Wiz came into rescue when his owner could no longer care for him due to her age and in-home caretaker could not handle him. Now 7 years of age, he is neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. Wiz has been foster care for 6 months and done well. He resource guards food and treats from other dogs, will tolerate calm dogs, but no cats or other small animals. Squirrels, birds, Etc are not allowed in his yard. Because of some abuse (head strikes and kicks) he will do best in a quiet home with no small children. Wiz is 'head shy' from his past but with a little time he warms up to rubs. He still flinches with sudden movement of feet. Wiz loves to sit/lay on the couch next to his person and get gentle rubs so would do well with an older person. He loves car rides and going for walks. He will need a secure fence yard or leash walks only as he will dart off after anything that catches his attention.

Adoption Application Form
Before you can adopt one of the dogs you need to complete our Adoption Application Form. Applications must be submitted and vetting/personal references must be checked before an adoption is completed. You will not be able to adopt a puppy or dog if you do not have a verified application. Pre-approved applications have priority over new applications. Due to lack of volunteer time, we are only able to answer questions from prospective adopters that have filled out an application form.
